Servicing and Battery Change of Suunto Vyper

The first generation of Suunto Vyper was introduced by Suunto at about 2011 as an advanced-level dive computer with gas mixed function, making Suunto Vyper one of the most common dive computer amongst diver.

Suunto Vyper has been discontinued.

CARING FOR YOUR SUUNTO Vyper

One of the most common problem for Suunto Vyper is the depth sensor and buttons. A good habit for scuba divers who are still using the Suunto Vyper is to thoroughly rinse their dive computer after each dive with lukewarm water, paying extra attention to the sensor found on the underside of your dive computer and depressing the buttons while rinsing it.

SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR SUUNTO Vyper DIVING COMPUTER

Battery Change of Suunto Vyper

The current service available for Suunto Vyper is only battery change. During the standard battery change, the retainer of the battery compartment is changed as well. There are cheaper services out there but they often do not change the retainer, causing the dive computer to flood.

WHAT CANNOT BE DONE FOR Vyper

A failed sensor is one of the common issues of the older generation of Suunto Vyper, especially if it has not been well maintained. Unfortunately, if the sensor has failed, there is nothing much that can be done.
