Servicing and Battery Change of Suunto Stinger & Spyder
The first generation of watch sized computer in the world was launched by Suunto. Suunto Spyder was launched in 1997 and was really popular amongst scuba divers. In 2001, the new upgraded model known as the Suunto Stinger was introduced and replaced Suunto Spyder. However, both models are identical in terms of parts. The only major difference is the internal module.
Both Suunto Spyder and Suunto Stinger has been discontinued.
CARING FOR YOUR SUUNTO Stinger & Spyder
One of the most common problem for Suunto Spyder and Suunto Stinger is the depth sensor and buttons. A good habit for scuba divers who are still using the Suunto Stinger is to thoroughly rinse their dive computer after each dive with lukewarm water, paying extra attention to the sensor found on the underside of your dive computer and depressing the buttons while rinsing it.
